Review
Again it's December and time for the famous Christmas
concerts by Anúna. St Stephen's Church was crammed with admirers at both evenings.
The first half of the concert on Saturday went very smoothly. Although the choir has some
new people it sounds very good. The second half started with a surprise to me as, up to
now, I only knew Gaudete as sung by Maeve Morris. Now a male voice took over. A
change of food whets the appetite and that worked this time too.
Jerusalem is a difficult song to perform and this time the new girls had a problem which
way to leave the stage. After that was cleared the song went well. The next day this small
problem was solved and all went well. Edel Harrington sung the first verse of Silent
Night in Gaelic. Pitty it wasn't repeated next day.

Just a coincidence that
the next concert was during the St Patrick's Festival.
